Happy Halloween!
We had a great Halloween. I didn't dress up the baby in a real outfit because he has sensitive skin, but he had a good time. He made out like a bandit. We hit 2 houses. (next year will be better) Nana Donna and Grandpa Ron also visited from New Mexico. We had a great time.

Baby Baby!
Hello everyone! Lots of things have been happening to me since June, and Ive been a bad, bad blogger. Don't blame it on the kidlet, its actually my fault. 1st my computer hates me, 2nd I got a new camera that has a special cord for downloading pictures, 3rd blogger sucks. The perfect storm of a crap-ass computer, with harder than usual camera downloading and blogger's ability to post my pictures and text together less than stellar-ly (new word I just made up) has added up to less blogging. If the technical part of all this was easy-peasy, I would definitely blog more often. I swear! He he.... Anyways, lots has been going on around here.
1st I have gotten tons of questions on how Lauren is faring with the arrival of our dear son. Well here it its, they really don't care about each other. Its kind of disappointing, but at this time they just don't give a hoot about each other. Lauren will lick his foot when we come home if we tell her to "tell Coleman hello", but that is it. Its fine by me though, she is after all an animal (which I seem to forget sometimes) and I am looking forward to a time when they will co-mingle on their own term without being coerced. All of this is of course because of the fact that the week I brought the baby home a family pet in the news snatched a baby out of a crib because it thought the baby was a toy. I don't want to be the "I told you so" family so they are getting to know each other on their own terms. Lauren of course is not being ignored at all. (another question I get asked alot) We are going out of our way to make sure she is getting everything she needs. Our dear friend and pet Riley passed away a few weeks ago, and Lauren had a stomach flu for about 3 weeks, so we are making sure she has almost double the attention than before the baby came. We didn't want her to feel left out, those are the ones that go crazy one you!
2nd My good friend Tara is expecting, congrats Tara! And she is upset I am not blogging more. I prefer blogging to facebook, but have been posting a few pics there in the interim because my phone has facebook on it (which I hate), but it makes it easy to update.
3rd I just went back to work on Sept 8th. Whew after 10 weeks off, I was definitely trying to figure out a way to work from home, like that 'crazy like a fox' fox says I can on TV. They all swear you can make 4000 to 15000 a month. I always wonder if that is net or gross. They never say, I have my suspicions. Work is busy though and that makes the day go by quickly. I am now one of those people who cannot wait for the weekend to hang out with my baby and my girl Lauren, and Jeff if hes home. Its busy busy though. Ill get use to it soon, right?
I will post more soon, I swear. I have lots of fun stuff coming up and pics of a great lace item I made while I was waiting for the baby to come. I have also procured some really great fiber recently, and bonus, the baby loves to zone out and watch the spinning wheel! Oh and Jeff's dad fixed the computer so we are now in business!

Happy Un-Birthday!
Hi Everyone! Long time no talk. I haven't updated in a while. Jeff and I have been super busy getting the house ready for the baby. Today is Coleman's Un-Birthday since he was due today but no dice, so I thought I would send out some un-birthday wishes to him. He is either very shy or really comfortable and just doesn't want to come out. All is well though according to the doctor, and if nothing happens by for a while he is going to induce next Thursday. So wish me luck everyone! Dan is going to visit this weekend so Ill have more to write then, as well as some great pics of some beautiful handmade gifts I got from my spinning and knitting group.

Tons o' Fun
Well I know I havent updated in a really long time, Ive been both busy and super tired/lazy when I get home from work. We had my baby shower in Riverside on April 18th. It was great, and Perk, Tara and Kimmie did a great job. I was so happy to see everyone, and had a great turn out. Jeff's Mom Robin and Nancy flew in for the shower, and lots of friends and family I had not seen in a long time showed.
On Friday when I arrived Tara, Perk, Woman, the kids and I hit the Market Broiler because I was of course craving crab again. Then we all went to Kimmie's to make Mexican Wedding cookies for the shower. They are delicious.

That evening I hit the local bowling alley to celebrate Shannon's birthday and finally meet Travis in person. I do see him often digitally, but in person was much better.
Here I am getting ready for the shower. Notice the amount of space between me and the ironing board. It was a tight fit.
The shower was great, Thank you so much Perk for your hospitality, you outdid yourself.

We also had a spinning day up at Dulitz farm in Springville. It was a great day and knitters/spinners met up from Bakersfield to Fresno. We had a great potluck too.
I talked Jeff into taking me to the local zoo in Fresno. There were only like 10 animals there! Just kidding, it was really small. I spent many days as a kid at the San Diego zoo, so I guess I was spoiled. I was expecting something more like that. It was a good place to walk around and get some exercise tho.

This is what happens when...
This is what happens when Jeff tells me I need an updated picture of my belly...
He takes this, and proceeds to call me Frosty and makes jokes about me looking like a snowman. When I ask him to to retake, this is what I get..
Jeff of course thinks he's hilarious at this point.
I finally get this front shot, which is Ok, but after looking at it for a while, I start to believe the snowman thing myself. Note to self, "no more white shirt pictures" I end up taking this myself...
Anyways here is a better shot of my headband so that you can really see the cables.
This weekend Jeff and his friend Danny painted the nursery and Lauren loves it.

Belly Shot
Here at 21 weeks, I really need an updated pic. 
I also finished this. Manos del Uruguay, the silk blend one. I love it. Its the first item Ive made for myself besides my alpaca mittens that I use often. I will post a better pic later.
I laid a cookie on the coffee table and Lauren thought if she stared at it hard enough it would grow legs and jump into her mouth. My camera was sitting next to the cookie so I just turned it on and snapped this.
Jeff and I went out on a rainy night this week and saw this in the Ross parking lot. Whoever this is better hope it doesnt rain....

Its a Boy!
Can you see it? As Jeff most eloquently put, pretend you are a toilet seat looking up. You can see the buns in the middle and the legs and the arrow pointing to...that's right, Mr. Coleman's boy parts!
We are very happy and now can begin the planning/knitting/quilting...etc..
On other fronts everyone has been asking me if I have had any cravings. Grapefruit juice...so I went to work on it with a great juicer Dan sent me along with about 8 fruit from his tree.

A Visit to Riverside
Last weekend I went to Riverside to visit Dan, Woman and the girls since I hadnt been back for a while. We had fun catching up and visiting.
Woman and I hit Market Broiler immediately after I got into town, so I could indulge in a big plate of crab.
We had dinner at Perk's house on Friday night. Saturday I had a special birthday party to attend.

Jenny and the "Piaatz" (not sure how to spell it) It was good to see them.
The birthday girl finishing up her huge piece of cake. We went to this crazy place where you bounce around for a while then they get you in and out in record time. It really was a very organized event. When its time to leave they want you out too. They even shovelled all of the gifts into the car just to get everyone out for the next party to commence.
Saturday night the girls and I hit the town. Well as late as I could handle. I really am useless when I get tired at 9 p.m. every night. I gave it a good effort though and lasted past 10 both nights. We went to P.F. Changs, where I really hit the Shirley Temples hard. It was a great dinner.
The weekend before was my Christmas dinner for work, and I brought Petra as my date since Jeff had a class to go to. It was a Chuckchansi and we got an room to stay in. I won $80 bucks, yeah! But I peetered out and went to bed around 9 I think.
Michelle, Kathy and Laura....They were rackin' in the dough playing some dice game before we even hit the casino floor.
I thought this pic of Lauren kinda looked like one of those glamour shots where they fuzz you out to hide all of your flaws. Its really just a bad pic but I think she looks cute!
