A story I can hardly believe...

Coleman and I were leaving Cafe 225 after having a salad and were on our way to Beverly's to scout out some yarn for some new baby girls that are scheduled to arrive soon. As we passed Fugazzi's an impecabbly groomed couple about 75 years old emerged from the restaurant behind us. I can only describe her outfit as quintessential June Cleaver. Her bright flowered green skirt flared out showing only a modest amount of calf. Her white pumps matched the white belt that cinched her dress at the waist and she was covered on top by a tailored white caplet. Her companion wore nice slacks, a button up shirt and suspenders. Her hair was exactly as pictured above and she wore those glasses all the ladies in 'The Far Side' wear. As we passed them this is the conversation we heard:

June: "Well Im not going to stay in a place that is dark just because you want to!, I sure as shit dont need you, and I can find myself another man!"

Man: "mumble...mumble"

June: "You know full well I have macular degeneration"

It was so amusing that I pulled off to the side and pretended to wipe Coleman's mouth to see what else she might say. Sadly they walked too slow and it would be obvious if I lingered much longer.

A Suspect Gift!

My friend Cheryl got C a great gift he loves, but the bag was a little suspect! Maybe they are just all great friends?




Coleman has been spending more time outdoors with the baseball, basketball and football his Daddy took him to get at Target, our favorite store. Hes been everywhere.

Today we went to the zoo here is Jeff smelling the flamingos...ewwww C didnt seem to mind

Ive also been in a cooking mood lately, its like im on a mission

I also made a shawlette for my Grandma's birthday, I may enter it in the local fair. Haven't decided yet though, because it will make it get to her late.

1st Birthday

Hi all! Tons has happened lately. C-man had his first birthday and we went on our 1st family vacation. Really our first vacation since we have been married I guess. We went to Disneyland for 2 days and travelled to San Diego to visit Uncle Justin and Aunt Julie and then to Seaworld to see Shamu. Coleman had a blast and LOVES Mickey! Tons of Pics are posted on my Flickr site. We also met up with Perk and Tara with the kids at Disney and had a GREAT time. Thanks guys for spending C's Birthday with us it was the best! I also gave Julie a blanket I knitted her and finished a wash cloth on the car ride. All of which I did not take a picture of. Ug. I know. We got great gifts from Woman (he loves his Mickey), Grandma ( a bunch of Toy Story stuff which he loves) and some great stuff from Auntie Shannon and Travis. Perk got his silhouette done at Disney which is always a classic too! Thanks everyone!

Weekend Adventure

Lauren, C and I all took a trip to Stitches West this weekend. It is an annual trip I take. We visited with Jeff's Mom and Dad and family and had a action packed weekend. First Kathleen, Robin and the Baby and I went to Stitches at Great America. It was a great show, got lots of great stuff. Later that night we had dinner at Piatti's in Danville with Nancy, which was great until the end when C spilled water all over himself. He cried all the way to the house which is unusal for him, and was fussy all night. I was at a loss until at about 1:30 in the morning I felt in his mouth that he had 2 front teeth! He didnt have them the day before, so I guess he just wanted to knock them out in one fell swoop. He was fine the next day and we went to the City. We ate at The Cliff House which was a great time and then we walked in Golden Gate Park. It was a great weekend, but whew, now Im pooped. Am glad to get back to work, where its not so hectic! We had a great time Thanks Robin!

Valentines Day Scooby Doo Mystery

Just wanted to write a short story about my adventures today. The C-man and I decided to go on a Valentines Day adventure (any outing by myself is an adventure now-a-days). Jeff was working so we went to Fresno to Riverwalk to shop and have lunch. The weather was suppose to be 60 degrees and beautiful, so what the hay, right? So we arrived and test drove the new stroller which is way more maneuverable and light weight for quick trips. Went to some shops and then after a stop at The Childrens' Place and Sur la Table, decided on Macaroni Grill. (it was a toss up between them, Chevy's and PF Changs). Well we had a wonderful lunch and C-man even loved the bread and a few bites of pasta. When I went to pay the server told me that the couple that had just left (who I didnt even see) paid for my meal and the 2 ladies next to me having lunch. Hmmm I wish I knew why? Whatever the reason Thank you! I know they dont read my blog but Ill just put it out there in the universe so maybe it will get to them some how. The other ladies said maybe it is a 'pay it forward' sort of thing. Dont know, but it was a nice gesture and I hope they had a wonderful day also. Happy Valentine's Day, how ever you celebrated it.

Baby's New Years Day Giraffe!

We took the C-man to the zoo today. Good way to start off the year. It was a perfect day to go no one was there.
