Ol' Riverside

This weekend I took a day off and headed to Riverside for Perk's baby shower. It has been almost a year since I have graced everyone there with my presence. The drive back reminded me why! Lauren did really well in the new car. She was actually more calm than when we travelled in the Jeep because she would pace around when I was driving. She laid down the entire time and only asked to go to the bathroom once.

Dan had made some improvments to the ol' casa. He turned my room from a wt. room back to my bedroom. Now it is nicer than when I lived there, complete with antiques. I think he is trying to lure me back for more visits.

Wash basin and yes and a chamber pot from the 1800's

There are a ton more pictures on my flickr page here:

Here are my dad's humming birds...If you look you can see 4 there. Right before that there were about 8. They drink 1 of these a day! He changes the color every day too. I think they are spoiled.

This is also funny, the dogs waiting for my dad to turn in. And yes all but one (Lauren) pile in every night. (from the top clockwise: Lauren, Wyatt, Bert and Phil)

Woman and I hit up the Market Broiler and the "New and Improved" Plaza

Here is Perk and Cole (pending) 6 more weeks

Here is me at the shower, oh yea Im on the right, Carley refused to leave my lap the entire time she opened gifts even though I was the one who had to write down what she got while Tara handed her the gifts and took trash. It took some maneuvering, but I got through it. There are lots more pics in the Flickr set.

Here is the quilt I made for Cole. Im still working on the binding, I will take a pic to post when its done. I held up my tradition of giving the gift, but taking it back to finish later. It will be done soon, I swear!

And I totally had to go here!...........Yum

Nekid Again!

Well its HOT, and my poor babies needed a shave.....I was at work so I asked Jeff to tell them I wanted them shaved but I only wanted Lauren's tail trimmed, since they made it look like a rat tail last time. (I almost cried) So anyways, we tried this new place and they shaved her, but apparently didn't even touch her tail. Jeff thinks she looks like a squirrel. He wants me to trim it, but I think I love it! He he

Riley is extremely happy and has turned into Mr. Confident once again. This means that all of a sudden he has this sense of entitlement and "hotness". He solicits you for attention, wiggles his bum around more and steals toys from Lauren (both of which he never does, except when shaved). So we call him Mr. Confident.

I read about the Ravelry Olympics though not extensively, so I decided to finish some half done projects...Project 1 finished:

Siren Socks in Fleece Artist Sea Wool

Well Lauren should dry off faster now. It will be good for when she wants to go for those evening swims.

Busy Busy Busy

I'm sorry guys, Ive been neglectful of ye ol' blog, but I've been busier than a one legged man in a butt kicking contest.

I will go in chronological order...

1st!
Happy Birthday Petra you 3? year old. (don't want to give out all her secrets!) Doesn't she look pretty? And she has been doing a kick-ass job at work with all the new stuff she's been doing.

2nd: Happy Anniversary to me! ( and Jeff) This is my anniversary gift, Thanks honey! Jeff got a flat screen HD TV for his room. We are working on making it the Game/Movie room soon, since the Blue Ray/PlayStation is in there. He loves it.

I haven't named her yet, but it was awesome to fold up my wheel and head for the mountains where my guild had a meeting at Dulitz Christmas tree farm. This place was total relaxation 6 hours of sitting and spinning and shopping in Springville. My friend Cheryl asked if I was up for an adventure, so on the way home we took the back way down the hill. Some of the hairpin curves we encountered I have only seen in those cartoons where Goofy and Daffy are driving in the mountains and they take a break and eat lunch in the trailer while the truck goes crazy. It was fun and we just missed a big thunderstorm on the way down. I love a good drive.

OK and here we go. THANK YOU CJ! for saving Jeff's appendage. OK, so I panicked when he came in holding his finger screaming my (whole name, DANIELLE) for a towel! I admit I froze, but managed to get him to ol' Kaweah Delta for 6 stitches. Its good to know people on the inside :) Jeff was grateful to my Knitting connections and so am I! (Don't freak out Robin and Rodney)

Jeff + Skill Saw =

I tried to reposition this pic, but it looked a little too phallic. (Shannon stop laughing).

All better now!

I also want to mention Lauren has been an avid swimmer lately and Shannon and Zane are soon going to be joined by a new family member, and I'm very excited for them! I better get knitting!...
