Almost there...

Well last night it rained like the dickens and Riley was not happy about it. Just for reference, Riley either hides in the bathroom or the closet when there are loud noises (firecrackers, lightening, small children- dont ask). Jeff and I always make fun when its all over and say he just came out of the closet. Ok, its goofy but funny every time!

Well I finished one. It doesnt look so "Cat in the Hat" in person, they are actually very stretchy ( i was worried they were too skinny), very soft (meriono, alpaca, silk blend), and pretty ( the pattern is more apparent when worn). They are size 9 though so I did not model them. Im a 5.5 to 7 depending on the shoe (go figure).

After I made it I weighed the sock and remaining yarn

See that! Same weight too close, so Im back to this.

I hope to get it done by thurs, we will see.

On other fronts, today I bbq'd a prime rib and brought it to Jeff on duty, he shared it with his coworkers. You ask, why does he get such good food while on shift away from here? 2 reasons as far as I can tell 1. My family and I have really always had a really strong idea of Sunday Dinner. Dan and Woman always made sure it was special and a big deal for my friends and I. I have tried to carry that on whether I am here or back at my Dads. (They still do it every Sunday back in ol' Riverside) I think its cool and every family should do it (we also have big weekend breakfast). Reason #2 is Dan is a freezer Nazi and is after me to use up what is in there by an acceptable date. In Visalia they do not have sales on Prime Rib or Top Sirloin ( They call Top Sirloin Chateaubriand here!) They do however have dirt cheap tri-tip, which I never even saw at the store when I lived in Riverside (unless I went to Costco). So Dan buys in quantity when stuff goes on sale and shrink wraps it for me. He also calls me occasionally to make sure I am rotating everything out on a timely basis, which is the point of all this. I will try to post the recipe for "Cindy Sauce" and how to bbq a prime rib. Everyone wants to know how I do it. Its super easy and you dont need to heat up the house in the process.

Decisions, decisions...which one do you like better?

More on this later.
