Hey! We are not even wearing spacesuits????

Sizzle (Eileen) once said that we would be wearing space suits when it would happen, but apparently not true....Shannon got married!! September 29, 2007 Mrs. and Mr. Zane Kane tied the knot! (Actually Mr. and Mrs. Holmes).

The wedding was a 3-day action packed event for me.

I arrived in Riverside on Thursday and dropped Lauren off at Dan's, (Wyatt was happy to see me, Lauren took off immediately to see Grampie as you can see)

then I headed to meet Shannon where we (Shannon, Zane, Sara, Maura, Sizzle and I) went to see Gabriel Iglesias at the Improv at Ontario Mills, then to Dave and Busters.

Dave 'n' Busters:

Friday Day two:

Shannon and I ran errands and then met up with everyone here for the rehearsal:

I found this history project on it on the internet for more background (It was a beautiful spot, Thank You Paul!)

We went to Dave and Busters for dinner and then Shannon and I ran some errands went to the room and we stayed up too late talking. (My bad, Dan told me to have her in bed early and to make sure she had a good breakfast...)

D-Day!!!!!

Almost there...

Well last night it rained like the dickens and Riley was not happy about it. Just for reference, Riley either hides in the bathroom or the closet when there are loud noises (firecrackers, lightening, small children- dont ask). Jeff and I always make fun when its all over and say he just came out of the closet. Ok, its goofy but funny every time!

Well I finished one. It doesnt look so "Cat in the Hat" in person, they are actually very stretchy ( i was worried they were too skinny), very soft (meriono, alpaca, silk blend), and pretty ( the pattern is more apparent when worn). They are size 9 though so I did not model them. Im a 5.5 to 7 depending on the shoe (go figure).

After I made it I weighed the sock and remaining yarn

See that! Same weight too close, so Im back to this.

I hope to get it done by thurs, we will see.

On other fronts, today I bbq'd a prime rib and brought it to Jeff on duty, he shared it with his coworkers. You ask, why does he get such good food while on shift away from here? 2 reasons as far as I can tell 1. My family and I have really always had a really strong idea of Sunday Dinner. Dan and Woman always made sure it was special and a big deal for my friends and I. I have tried to carry that on whether I am here or back at my Dads. (They still do it every Sunday back in ol' Riverside) I think its cool and every family should do it (we also have big weekend breakfast). Reason #2 is Dan is a freezer Nazi and is after me to use up what is in there by an acceptable date. In Visalia they do not have sales on Prime Rib or Top Sirloin ( They call Top Sirloin Chateaubriand here!) They do however have dirt cheap tri-tip, which I never even saw at the store when I lived in Riverside (unless I went to Costco). So Dan buys in quantity when stuff goes on sale and shrink wraps it for me. He also calls me occasionally to make sure I am rotating everything out on a timely basis, which is the point of all this. I will try to post the recipe for "Cindy Sauce" and how to bbq a prime rib. Everyone wants to know how I do it. Its super easy and you dont need to heat up the house in the process.

Decisions, decisions...which one do you like better?

More on this later.

Day One

Whats up guys! First day of my blog, it may suck, I admit. Oh well. It is Friday night, I have spent all night working on Donna's hand spun socks (deadline is Thurs. Sept 27) so I spent my whole hair appt. rapidly KIP, and no one even asked me what I was doing. They watched and stared, but never asked. Weird. I would ask if someone was feverishly working on a bright colored hand held specimen with 3 pointy needles sticking out of it.

Tonight it rains steadily and i see the lightening and hear the
thunder approx. 4 Mississippi's away. Jeff will be on his shift at 8 A.M. I feel as if I haven't seen him in a week. Oh wait he was gone for a week. He was here http://www.pe.com/localnews/inland/stories/PE_News_Local_R_butler17.59346e.html at the Butler 2 fire in Fawnskin since last Saturday, came home yesterday and is off again tomorrow. You know what sucks about all this, He LOVES it! Its his dream job, I am truly happy for him, just need to find mine! Just dont know what it is at this point. It will happen. Anyways Lauren is happy to have both her parents home,

Riley doesnt seem to care.

He does however care about this thunder and lightning. I expect to find him in the closet as usual....
